Mark Joiner

Independent Chairman

Mark is an experienced director of listed companies, currently serving as a non-executive director of Latitude Financial Services and Chairman of QBE Insurance Group Limited’s Australian and New Zealand subsidiaries. He has also held multiple directorships at NAB Group subsidiaries, including Clydesdale Bank Plc and JBWere.

Mark served as Executive Director of Finance for NAB Group; CFO and Head of Strategy and M&A for Citigroup’s global wealth management business in New York; and Associate Director of Australian Ratings (now Standard & Poor’s). He also has 15 years of experience as a management consultant at Boston Consulting Group including as Senior Vice President, Global Head of Corporate Development.

Mark is a Chartered Accountant and holds an MBA from the Melbourne Business School.

Glenn King, FIPAA

Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer

Glenn King is the Group Chief Executive Officer.

Before joining in late-2019 Glenn was a senior public servant in the New South Wales (NSW) Government, including leading the Premier’s Implementation Unit as Deputy Secretary of Department Premier and Cabinet, and the first Chief Executive Officer of Service NSW. Most recently, he was the NSW Customer Service Commissioner and Secretary of the NSW Government’s Department of Customer Service.

Glenn also has over 25 years of international experience in Financial Services. As a senior executive at the National Australia Bank Group he led product, marketing, distribution, and operations divisions across its portfolio in Australia, New Zealand, Scotland, England and Ireland.

Glenn has been an Executive at Save the Children Australia, held numerous Business Advisory and Community Board roles, and was appointed a Fellow of the Institute of Public Administration Australia for outstanding contribution to study or practice of public administration. He has a BCom (Honours) from Deakin University, a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from Swinburne University, as well as completing programs at both the University of Adelaide and Harvard Kennedy School.

Vivek Bhatia

Independent Non-Executive Director

Vivek is the current Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Link Group.

Vivek has over 20 years of experience in financial services, government and management consulting. Prior to joining Link Group, Vivek was Chief Executive Officer of the Australia Pacific division of QBE Insurance Group Ltd, and the inaugural Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of iCare (Insurance and Care NSW).

Prior to this, Vivek co-led the Restructuring and Transformation (RTS) practice at McKinsey & Company across Asia Pacific and held senior executive roles at Wesfarmers Insurance, including responsibility for leading the Australian underwriting businesses of Lumley, WFI and Coles Insurance as CEO, Wesfarmers General Insurance Limited (WGIL).

Vivek holds an undergraduate degree in engineering, a post graduate degree in business administration and is a CFA (ICFAI).

Dr Kirstin Ferguson AM

Independent Non-Executive Director

Dr Kirstin Ferguson is a highly experienced Chair, Deputy Chair and Non-Executive Director on ASX listed, private company, not for profit and Government boards. In addition to PEXA Ltd, Kirstin is currently an independent director on the board of technology company Envato Pty Ltd (since June 2021).

Kirstin has a PhD in corporate culture, leadership and governance and is an Adjunct Professor at the QUT Faculty of Business and Law. She also holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from QUT and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from UNSW Canberra.

During her executive career, Kirstin held executive roles as the CEO of an international consulting organisation, a senior executive in a corporate law firm and an Officer in the Royal Australian Air Force.

Kirstin has previously served on the board of SCA Property Group Ltd (ASX:SCP Jan 2015 – Aug 2021) and EML Payments Ltd (ASX: EML Feb 2018 – July 2021) and CIMIC Ltd (ASX: CIM July 2014 – Nov 2016). Kirstin has also been Deputy Chair of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation and an independent director on the board of Hyne & Son Pty Ltd, SunWater Ltd and a number of non-profit organisations.

Jeffrey Smith

Independent Non-Executive Director

Jeffrey Smith is an experienced executive who has worked at the highest level in the technology and digital transformation space.

Jeffrey is currently an Independent Non-Executive Director at ANZ Group Holdings Ltd (ASX: ANZ) and serves as a member of several board committees, including its Digital Business and Technology Committee, Risk Committee, Human Resources Committee, and Nominations and Board Operations Committee. He is also a Director of Sonrai Security Inc.

Prior to this, Jeffrey was a senior executive within global and technology organisations including Telstra, Honeywell, Toyota, IBM, Suncorp and World Fuel Services Corporation.

Paul Rickard

Non-Executive Director and Commonwealth Bank of Australia Nominee Director

Paul served as a non-executive Director of PEXA from November 2011 to November 2018, joining the Board about twelve months after the company’s formation.

Paul is an experienced director of listed companies, currently serving as a non-executive director of Tyro Payments Limited and WCM Global Growth Limited. At Tyro, he is the Chair of the Audit Committee and the Chair of the Risk Committee.

He has more than 30 years’ experience in the financial service industry. He was a senior executive with the Commonwealth Bank of Australia for over 15 years, and was the founding managing director of CommSec.

Paul was named ‘Stockbroker of the Year’ and admitted to the Industry Hall of Fame in 2005.

Paul holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Sydney, and a Diploma in Financial Planning from RMIT University.

Melanie Willis

Independent Non-Executive Director

Melanie has extensive experience as a non-executive director, including Challenger Limited since December 2017, Southern Cross Austereo since May 2016 and the Australia Pacific division of QBE Insurance Group Ltd since September 2020. Melanie was previously a non-executive director of Mantra Group and Pepper Group, Chief Executive Women and Chair of the Education Committee of the 30% Club.

Melanie also serves as a non-executive director of PayPal Australia.

Melanie has held executive roles as CEO of NRMA Investments (and head of strategy and innovation), CEO of a financial services start-up and director of Deutsche Bank, and has previously worked in corporate finance at Bankers Trust and Westpac.

Melanie previously chaired the audit and risk committee at Mantra and was a member of the audit committee at Pepper Group. She currently chairs the risk committee and is a member of the audit committee at Challenger, chairs the audit committee and remuneration committee at PayPal Australia, chairs the risk committee at QBE AusPac, and chairs the audit and risk committee at Southern Cross Austereo.

Melanie has a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Western Australia and Masters of Taxation from Melbourne University

Helen Silver AO

Independent Non-Executive Director

Helen has been a senior executive with two major financial services companies in Australia, National Australia Bank and Allianz Australia. She spent the last eight years at Allianz Australia, where her most recent role was Deputy Managing Director.

Helen has worked at the highest levels of Commonwealth Government with the Productivity Commission, and Victorian Government in roles primarily in the Premier’s and Treasury portfolios, including Secretary of the Victorian Department of Premier and Cabinet from 2008 to 2013.

Helen has also served as a non-executive director of a number of non-profit organisations.

Helen holds a Bachelor of Economics with Honours, Master of Economics and Honorary Doctor of Laws all from Monash University.

Chief Risk and Governance Officer

Alice joined PEXA in 2022 following an international career extending over 20 years in corporate and top tier private practice environments across Australasia, Asia, US and UK/Europe. Prior to joining PEXA, Alice spent six years with BlueScope Steel Limited in a range of senior leadership roles across legal, compliance and strategic growth portfolios, including as General Counsel - Building Products (Asia and North America) and VP - Strategic Business Development. Alice also has 15 years’ experience in private practice, leading and contributing to projects in M&A, restructuring and insolvency, bank finance and litigation across Australia, UK and the USA with Ashurst (Australia), White & Case (UK/USA) and Arnold Bloch Leibler (Australia).

Alice is a values based leader with a passion for constructive challenge and continual learning. She has a strong track record of delivering organisational and functional transformation to align with business purpose, strategy and values. Alice thrives in diverse environments and brings energy, creativity and trust to her teams. She has a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Bachelor of Arts (Philosophy/ Logic) from the University of Auckland, NZ.

John Hooper

Chair

A strong leader with proven Board level capability in both retail and wholesale financial services encompassing various NED roles, CEO of National Australia Bank’s wholesale business and Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer of Clydesdale and Yorkshire Banks, Mr Hooper brings to the Board significant knowledge and expertise of financial institutions, payments, treasury, and regulatory environments. At present, Mr Hooper is the Chairman and NED of Cumberland Building Society and a NED at Together Personal Finance Limited.

Richard Moore

Group Chief Financial Officer

Richard joined PEXA as its Chief Financial Officer in February 2020.

Prior to this, Richard was the Chief Financial Officer at MYOB for eight years, overseeing its transition from private to public ownership in 2015 which at the time was Australia’s largest Tech IPO. At MYOB, Richard was responsible for a broad Group Services portfolio, including Finance, Legal, Governance, Risk and Compliance and IT.

Richard has more than 20 years business experience, holding senior finance roles across a diverse range of industries, including Chief Financial Officer of Jetstar Airways (part of the Qantas Group), Chief Financial Officer of Bankwest Business and numerous finance roles at GE Capital across both the UK and Australia, after starting his career with PwC in Edinburgh.

Richard is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland and is a member of the Board and Finance Committee Chair at Kilvington Grammar School in Ormond, Melbourne.

Richard has a Master of Arts degree, with Honours, in Economics from the University of Edinburgh.

Joe Pepper

Chief Executive Officer, UK

Joe joined PEXA in October 2023, bringing over 25 years of business process re-engineering experience across the financial, legal and property sectors - the last 10 years in delivering technology solutions to the UK conveyancing and lending markets.

Previously he was Chief Executive Officer of TM Group, a leading proptech company where he spearheaded the company’s growth. His other key executive roles include Managing Director of EDM Mortgage Support Services; Business Development Director for RR Donnelley Global Document Solutions; and banking operations and sales executive roles with UBS Investment Bank and ABN Amro.
